You're supposed to learn something new every day, right? I learned that SimpliSafe does a great job of leveraging storytelling in their emails. I also learned that they make a real attempt to use as much text as possible in their email designs, as opposed to relying solely on images. However, I also learned that their branding isn't applied to their email designs nearly at the level I would expect from an up and coming tech company. Each and every brand touchpoint your customers come in contact with is crucial to fostering the "know, love, trust" factor. Although highly underrated, email design is arguably one of the most important touchpoints. What other piece of your company's marketing material is (hopefully) making it's way into your customers' Inboxes several times a month? Not your website. Not your social media posts. Not your digital ads. All those require your customers to go somewhere to encounter them. Emails are delivered directly TO them. Like I said, email design is way underrated.
