The Challenge
Our task was to establish an interactive digital hub that not only provided vital course information but also fostered a sense of belonging among students. To explore new ideas and comprehensive approaches, our team also conceptualized a redesign of the university's app. The goal was to modernize its design, provide a more efficient user flows, and improve the overall experience.
The SOlution
Be Indigo was brought on to create a social media page that would visually appeal to students, provide course information, and allow them to see previous years’ trips.
The page featured multiple tabs for better organization and improved user navigation. The graphics for the page were designed first in Photoshop and then each element was uploaded and customized on the social media platform. We also created a logo that helped uniquely brand this trip along with customized marketing materials.
Our approach to the conceptual app redesign began by studying user behavior and preferences, mapping out more efficient user flows to ensure smooth navigation. Wireframes visualized the app's structure, mockups brought the app's aesthetics and features to life, and interactive prototypes for a firsthand experience of the user journey.
The Result
By adapting our digital design process to the social media platform’s then-highly customizable page template, we created a branded and engaging one-stop shop for the course that helped students really get a feel for what the experience would be like.
Through our iterative and multifaceted approach, we exceeded the University's expectations, crafting a dynamic digital ecosystem resonating with students and embodying the essence of the "Drama in Stratford and London" course.
Diana Donaldson is the total professional. Smart, accurate, fast, and wonderfully imaginative, she is always the graphic designer I recommend to colleagues first. She created a web page for an off-campus course that I teach at the University of Tennessee and did a beautiful job!
