So-so, comme ci comme ça, meh. Sometimes things aren't atrocious but aren't all that great either. This is usually the case when templates are overused, outdated, or just not great to begin with. They get they job done but aren't compelling enough to make readers take action. This email design from Skillshare is one such example. There are some good things about the layout — it's clean, the refrained use of brand colors is nice, and the subtly contrasting typography choices are a pro. However, the CTA is easily overlooked, the image proportions could be a lot better, and the grey background feels negligent.
