The Challenge
Zix wanted us to design an ebook featuring tips and advice from masters in the MSP field. As Zix is a forward-thinking industry authority, this ebook needed to challenge the status quo of corporate design. It had to feel high-end and energetic, but relatable and acceptable to a C-Suite audience. The project included layout and UI/UX design for the interactive ebook and a microsite where the web version lives.
The SOlution
Zix wanted an interactive ebook layout that was modern, easy to read and that didn’t cause scroll-fatigue. Building off a “rockstar” theme from a previous successful Zix publication, we designed an above-the-fold ebook with an intuitive format that eliminated endless scrolling.
After creating wireframes to establish the user flow, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes were designed for desktop, tablet and mobile views.
We also designed a landing page where readers can sign up to receive each chapter of the ebook as they’re published.
Other projects we worked on for Zix include more ebooks, microsites and reports. These publications are full of data that needed to be effectively and accurately represented through attention-grabbing visuals. We designed a variety of animated infographics in a range of formats, always making sure they adhered to the Zix brand guidelines.
The Result
The ebook project quickly became the Zix CEO's favorite publication - a great sign, as CEO's and C-Suites were the target audience of the campaign.
Diana is pleasant to work with, responsive, and has a creative eye for taking project and company objectives and bringing them to life in an engaging way. My favorite project we worked on together was spotlighting some of my company's largest partners. We developed a "rockstar" theme to add some zest and a theme to the success story concept. The way she brought it to life became our CEO's favorite publication - one of many good signs, as CEO's and C-Suites were our target audience. Diana also worked with us to create an animated template for our online ebooks, which were traditionally distributed in PDF format. She was able to take a grandiose vision and turn it into a tangible work of B2B art - not easily done. Our teamwork style was collaborative - but once I gave her the creative brief and concept, she was able to bring it to life.
